Who is manual lymphatic drainage for?
We provide manual lymphatic drainage for people seeking care for lipedema, lymphedema and lymphatic concerns after surgery or cancer treatment. Your health history and current care guide the timing and treatment plan.
New or unexplained swelling needs medical assessment before routine treatment. If you have active cancer or are currently receiving cancer treatment, such as chemotherapy or radiation therapy, medical clearance from your oncologist or treating healthcare provider may be required before lymphatic treatment begins.

Raegan Brumer is a Registered Massage Therapist, Licensed Practical Nurse, and Certified Lymphedema Therapist with training in the Vodder method and the Chikly method.
Your appointment combines manual lymphatic drainage with assessment and guidance for care between visits:

Frequently asked questions
Does manual lymphatic drainage use deep pressure?
No. Manual lymphatic drainage uses slow, gentle, directed movements on the skin. It is different from deep-tissue massage.1 Tell your therapist if anything feels uncomfortable so treatment can be adjusted.
Do I need to lie flat during treatment?
Treatment usually takes place lying on the treatment table with appropriate bolstering for comfort. Side-lying or seated positioning may be possible. Mention pain, breathing difficulties, or mobility restrictions in your request so we can discuss positioning before your visit.
Can manual lymphatic drainage replace compression?
Manual lymphatic drainage does not automatically replace prescribed compression. Lymphedema management often combines drainage with compression, skin care, and movement.1 We also offer lymphedema care when you need a broader management plan.
Can I claim treatment through massage therapy insurance?
Your plan may cover eligible massage therapy treatment provided by a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT). Confirm that your insurer accepts the provider and specific service before booking.2 Direct billing is not available.
