Your first visit

Complete the health-history and consent forms sent through Jane. Bring relevant medical or surgical instructions, referral or clearance letters, and any compression garments you use. We’ll confirm a secure route if records need to be sent in advance.

A referral is not always required, but medical clearance may be needed. Active cancer-related treatment may require approval from your oncologist.

Tell us if you need mobility assistance or a support person. We’ll confirm the Calgary clinic address and access arrangements before booking.

Your therapist reviews your concerns and assesses swelling, skin, movement, or an incision as relevant to your care. Measurements can help establish a baseline. You’ll discuss the treatment plan before giving consent.

Most treatment is provided lying on your back, with appropriate draping. Alternative positioning may be possible. You can request changes, pause, or stop treatment at any time.

Clinical photographs are optional and require separate permission; agreeing to a clinical photograph does not authorize public use.

Treatment is offered at $130 per hour, before applicable tax. We’ll confirm the appointment length before booking.

Virtual assessments may be considered; eligibility, length, and fees are confirmed individually.

Credit and debit payments are accepted through Square, with receipts issued through Jane. Direct billing is not available.

Your plan may cover eligible massage therapy services provided by a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT). Before booking, confirm that your insurer accepts the provider and the specific treatment under your massage therapy benefits.⁴ Coverage limits and receipt requirements vary by plan.¹

Please give at least 24 hours’ notice. Late cancellations and missed appointments may be charged at 50% of the treatment price, at the practice’s discretion.

Contact the practice if you become unwell; illness-related cancellations are considered individually. Do not attend with an active cold, virus, or acute infection. Taking antibiotics does not by itself establish readiness to resume treatment.²

You’ll leave with the agreed next steps for home care or follow-up. Routine questions may take up to two business days to receive a reply; post-visit calls are not routinely scheduled.

For new, painful limb swelling, seek urgent medical assessment. Call 911 for sudden trouble breathing, chest pain, or fainting rather than waiting for a reply.³
